Jewelry: The Easiest Update
Before we get into clothes, let’s talk about jewelry. Accessories are one of the quickest ways to modernize your wardrobe. This season, I’ve been loving pieces from SUIHE, a San Francisco–based brand whose name means “sunrise” in Heaven.

Why SUIHE? They’re environmentally responsible (everything ships directly from the factory, saving money and reducing waste), their pieces are made with a thick layer of 18k gold vermeil over sterling silver, and they use an eco-friendly coating that keeps jewelry shiny and bright for years. Plus, they work with natural gemstones and pearls, which means every piece feels unique and special.
Some of my current favorites:
- The Mini Amore Necklace – delicate matte gold hearts that sit beautifully on the collarbone and layer effortlessly.
- Seashell Motif Pieces – a major Fall 2025 trend, from a golden conch bracelet to sculpted shell earrings with baroque pearls.
- The Meadow Breeze Bracelet – natural green gemstones that bring in one of fall’s key colors: every shade of green, from olive to emerald.

Key Styling Strategies for Fall 2025
Now let’s get into the fun part—the actual outfits. Here are the biggest styling updates I’m excited about this season:
1. Lace Under Everything
Runways everywhere showed lace hems peeking out beneath sweaters, skirts, and dresses. Think: a lace-trimmed cami under a cozy knit, or a lace-trimmed slip skirt layered under another skirt or sweater dress. If lace hems feel too much like “your slip is showing,” you can try lace cuffs, lace collars, or even lace tights. The key is to keep it matte and intentional, not shiny or lingerie-like.

2. Satin Pants with Knit Tops
This is all about texture play—shiny satin paired with chunky knits. If you already have satin trousers or even silky cargos, this is the season to wear them. Pair them with sweaters, jackets, or simple tops you already own to create a rich, unexpected mix.

3. Tied Sweaters
Ties are used to add interest to necklines and definition to waists and hips. The key this season is to tie them on nonchalantly, as if you weren’t looking in the mirror, or in an asymmetric way.

4. Scarves Everywhere
Scarves are having a huge moment—silk and cozy versions alike.
- Silk scarves: tie at the waist as a belt, drape asymmetrically across your shoulders, or wrap as a top (with a tank underneath for coverage).
- Cozy scarves: double up two scarves at once, go oversized, or wrap them poncho-style with a clip. Even tying sweaters like scarves is trending this year, from Brandon Maxwell to Tory Burch runways.

5. Prep School Vibes
Corduroy, plaid, tweed, loafers, and collared shirts are back—but think English college in the 1960s, not cutesy schoolgirl. Layer blazers, polos, knit vests, and classic shoes for an academic, tailored vibe that feels sophisticated and wearable.

6. Dresses Over Pants
This one’s controversial! But it can be done beautifully. Try a slip dress over slim trousers or a sweater dress over flared pants. If you want an easier entry point, try a shirt dress half-buttoned over ponte knit pants.

7. Cropped Trenches + Wide-Leg Pants
A short trench is one of the most versatile layering pieces of the season. They balance the width of wide-leg pants, making the silhouette easier to wear. Button them up fully for a fresh, modern look.

8. Mix All the Textures
Denim with silk. Cashmere with leather. Tweed with satin. The more textures you mix, the richer and more modern your outfit looks. It’s the easiest way to elevate what you already own.

9. Belts Over Everything
A wide belt over a cardigan, blazer, or coat instantly updates the whole look. It creates structure and gives even older pieces a current, polished edge.

10. Statement Tights
Colored, patterned, textured—this season, anything goes. Add tights to an old dress or skirt and it will feel brand new. Bonus: they’re practical, too.

11. Vests as Layers
Tweed, denim, suede, or leather—vests are a lightweight way to add interest without bulk. Try one over a blouse, dress, or even a sweater.

12. Sheer Layers
Sheer blouses under knits, chiffon skirts layered over opaque ones, or mesh turtlenecks under sleeveless tops—sheer is everywhere. It adds lightness and edge to fall outfits.

13. Knee Socks
Yes, really. Knee socks with loafers, Mary Janes, or skirts are trending. I’m on the fence about this one, but it’s an inexpensive experiment if you’re curious.

14. Cuffs and Collars
Ruffles, bows, and detailed necklines peeking out from sweaters and blazers add a feminine, intentional touch. If you have blouses with interesting sleeves or collars, now’s the time to bring them back out.

Final Thoughts
The best part of these trends? You don’t need to buy an entirely new wardrobe. Most of these styling strategies are about wearing what you already have in new ways—mixing textures, layering smartly, and adding little details like belts, tights, or jewelry.
I’d love to know: which of these styling tips are you excited to try this fall? And which ones are you skipping completely? Let me know in the comments—I love hearing your thoughts.
