My Favorite Bathing Suit Brands
Let’s start with brands I know and trust—the tried-and-true names that consistently deliver. Brands like Becca, Bleu by Rod Beattie, Gottex, Miraclesuit, and Trina Turk have been around for a reason—they simply get swimwear.
But I also love some of the newer brands that have joined the scene in recent years: Andie Swim, Summersalt, Hermoza—they’ve quickly become favorites for their modern designs and inclusive sizing.

My Best Tips for Bathing Suit Shopping
- Try on a lot. Like jeans, swimsuits require trial and error. One of my clients tried 37 before finding the right one!
- Don’t default to “more coverage = more flattering.” Structure, fabric quality, and support matter more.
- Prioritize bust support. Adjustable straps and molded cups can make all the difference.
- Size up or down strategically. Compression suits? Size up. Budget suits? Maybe size down.
- Consider your swim activity. Lounging and active use call for different suits.
- Fit the torso first. Especially if you’re long- or short-torsoed—get that right, then adjust the bust as needed.
