My Best and Worst Outfits of 2024
As the year comes to a close, I wanted to show you the power of the daily outfit picture. It’s something I preach about a lot but also something I practice. So today, I’m sharing my personal favorite outfits from 2024—along with a few misses that, let’s be honest, taught me what not to wear. Fashion is all about experimenting, and sometimes, things just don’t work out. So in today’s video, my 24 best outfits of the year and the 5 biggest flops. Hopefully, you’ll find some inspiration (or at least a laugh) along the way!
Why Outfit Recaps Are So Useful
By snapping a quick photo every morning, I’ve built a visual journal of what I’ve worn, loved, and reached for repeatedly. These photos offer an objective perspective that a mirror just can’t provide. I encourage everyone to give it a try—you’ll learn so much about your wardrobe and style.
This year, I reviewed 365 days of outfits to find my top 24 looks and the five that didn’t make the cut. Here are the highlights!

- Fancy Loungewear I discovered the magic of elevated loungewear this year. My go-to pieces were cozy yet chic cashmere sets like the black two-piece from Quince and the cream cashmere hoodie set from LilySilk. Luxurious and flattering, these sets made staying in feel glamorous.
- Red and Black Pairings While I don’t often mix red and black, one standout outfit featured black joggers, a sleek red trench coat from Walmart, and red-heeled boots. It was simple, bold, and oh-so-fun.
- Floral Slip Dresses I fell in love with floral slip dresses. My favorites included a black and white one from Goelia and a reverse floral one from LilySilk. Both were versatile, flattering, and easy to style with jackets and accessories.
- Leather Shorts When fall rolled around, my faux leather shorts became a staple. Styled with everything from colorful tops to structured blazers, they transitioned seamlessly from casual to polished.
- Statement Pants I couldn’t get enough of my plaid pants from S.DEER. High-waisted and subtly patterned, they were a perfect match for bodysuits and asymmetric sweater vests.
- Timeless Wrap Dresses The Quince Tencel wrap dress took the prize for versatility. Dressed up with pumps or down with sneakers, it worked for every occasion.
- The Luxe Knit Set My Quince ponte wide-leg pants and matching top were a revelation. Comfortable enough for travel yet polished enough for meetings, this set quickly became a wardrobe hero.
- The Lace Two-Piece Set
Feminine and sophisticated, this cream lace two-piece from Goelia was a showstopper. The elastic waistband on the skirt made it secretly comfy, and I loved pairing it with Bella platform pumps for a polished look. - The Black Sweater Dress with Detachable Sleeves
This Petite Studio sweater dress with white trim was an all-year favorite. Its detachable sleeves made it versatile for any season, and I loved styling it with a beret, silk scarf, and white boots for an effortlessly chic vibe. - The Go-To Knit Vest Dress
Another standout was a knit vest dress from Goelia, paired with a coordinating cardigan. The mix of flowy fabric in the skirt and a ribbed knit top was both flattering and comfortable—a lifesaver for last-minute plans. - Striped Sweaters and Lady Jackets
Stripes and lady jackets were a recurring theme this year, often styled with wide-leg pants or jeans. One standout was a navy striped jacket from LilySilk, paired with wide-leg navy pants. The polished yet relaxed vibe made it a perfect everyday look. - The Blue and White Striped Dress
This Quince dress was a surprise favorite. It was playful yet sophisticated, and I styled it in countless ways—sometimes with gold espadrilles and a pink straw bag, other times with a fisherman sweater draped over my shoulders. - The StyleWe Two-Piece
White pants with black side trim and a slightly oversized popover shirt made for a crisp and modern look. I wore this outfit with black pumps for a sleek vibe and switched to plaid slingbacks for a festive touch. - The Luxe Silk T-Shirt Dress
This simple yet versatile Quince silk dress became a wardrobe essential. Styled with silver mules and a matching bag, or dressed down with sneakers and a denim jacket, it worked for any occasion. - The Tweed Jacket and Wide-Leg Pants
My black tweed jacket from Goelia, with its white trim, was a wardrobe MVP. It looked stunning with Halara waffle-weave wide-leg pants, offering the perfect blend of structure and flow. - The Linen European-Inspired Dress
This waist-defining linen dress was a summer staple. Styled with espadrilles and a yellow clutch, it embodied effortless elegance and versatility. - The Black Tank Dress Formula
A simple black tank dress styled with a red crossbody bag, a straw hat, and sneakers became my go-to weekend look. It was comfortable yet polished and transitioned seamlessly from errands to brunch. - The Tencel Shirt Dress
Another winner from Quince, this shirt dress offered both comfort and style. I paired it with a red Lululemon crossbody bag and slides for a casual yet chic look. - The Petite Studio Tweed Mini Skirt Look
I loved styling this tweed mini with a slouchy blazer and cap-toe slingbacks. The blazer balanced the short skirt, creating a polished and elegant outfit that felt timeless. - The Ponte Knit Set
This ponte-knit set from Quince was a revelation—stretchy, comfortable, and sophisticated. I wore it endlessly, layering it with a fisherman sweater for colder days or keeping it simple for travel. - The Petite Studio Embroidered Blouse
This black blouse with cream embroidery was one of my favorite tops. Paired with cream trousers and black-and-cream caged pumps, it created a polished and feminine look. - The Goelia Sweater Set
A cozy two-piece sweater set with orange trim was my cold-weather go-to. Styled with scrunch boots from Target, it was effortlessly chic and ideal for church or casual outings.
The Misses: My 5 Biggest Fashion Fails

- The Abominable Snowman Inspired by a layered look I saw online, I tried piling sweaters, a puffer vest, and a coat. Let’s just say this much volume overwhelmed my petite frame.
- The Pants That Ate Me These high-waisted fleece pants from Halara were so unflattering that no amount of styling could save them. They’ll be relegated to yard work.
- The “Look at My Boobs” Dress A smocked stretchy dress amplified all the wrong things—thanks to some menopause-related changes. Not a good look for me.
- The Sporty Spice Imposter Hiking attire is not my vibe. Wearing borrowed shoes and sporty gear, I felt like I was trying too hard to be someone I’m not.
- The Top-Heavy Fail A boxy white tee paired with leather shorts made my upper body look disproportionately large. Lesson learned: balance is key!
