If you’ve been on this earth a couple of dozen years or so, chances are you have clothes. You might not love all of them all of the time, but there are clothes in your closet that at the very minimum prevent you from going out into the world naked.

Most of the time, we don’t need more clothes. We need more ideas.

Sure, there are things that would be nice to have, and can help fill in the gaps in our existing wardrobes, but when we get in there and try clothes on and start creating outfits and having fun with the process again, like we might have in our teens or twenties, we can start to enjoy getting dressed again.

And that’s what I hope these outfit ideas will do for you. They are not meant to copy, exactly, down to the last detail (although you can do that if you have the items and the inclination), and they’re certainly not meant to make you compare your wardrobe, your style, or your body to another woman’s.

We are all unique, and our wardrobes are an extension of that uniqueness.

These are simply meant to inspire, to get the creative juices flowing, so that you can dive into your closet and come up with your unique versions of a couple of these looks.

    Trust me, I tried to feature a variety of body types and definitely feature different body types in my denim outfit ideas video, but they are hard to find. Very frustrating. However, many of these outfit formulas would work for all sizes. You just adjust them to your size and silhouette, as I recommend doing with any outfit inspiration. For example, I’m 5’2″ so I have to scale many of these looks for my height. I hope that helps!
