I challenge you to try to find a petite top at your favorite mall store. I’ll wait… Nothing, right. It’s CRAZY. As a petite with a shorter torso, petite tops and jackets are critical for me, but for the last couple of years finding them has been the biggest challenge.

And so all of my tops end up looking like tunics, or there is so much to tuck in that it’s ridiculous. So frustrating.

The Capsule

This elevated classic fall wardrobe features mostly neutral colors in timeless silhouettes with modern details. Since everything is neutral, the pieces mix and match effortlessly. I did add a touch of pattern with the jacket, the sweater, and the brown pants to add further interest.

The Breakdown

In addition to the 2 dresses, shown above, which sit outside of my capsule system because they are one-and-done outfits, this capsule featured 3 tops, 4 bottoms, and 2 jackets.

Here’s a breakdown of the individual pieces that I chose for this capsule wardrobe. For reference, I wear a Petite XS at 5’2″. All of these items run True To Size, but if you’re between sizes, size up in the brown Reign pants (below), as they are a tiny bit snug in the waist.
