But wait, there’s more!
I’m sure no one was surprised that I couldn’t stop at just 6 European style secrets. I could probably have come up with 60, but that would be a very long video, and part 1 was already 40 minutes. For this one, I covered 7 more style secrets of European women that we can all apply to our wardrobes.
These are simple ways to level up for those of us who are not European, and reminders of what works for those of you who are.
Sometimes, we do things without knowing why we do them, and it can help to put some of these things into words so that we can be more intentional about them.
So here, 7 more style secrets from European women.
Choose Quality Classics
European women choose clothes that will last and that they can wear for years to come, regardless of their budget. I noticed more natural fibers and thoughtful details in many of the clothing items.

Dress Up Denim
Jeans are not an opportunity to be sloppy in Europe. Instead, they form the base for lots of chic and creative looks that reflect the wearer’s personal style.

Keep It Effortless
Whether they’re dressed up or keeping it casual, European women always strike the balance between intentional style that doesn’t look like they tried too hard. It’s a balance that many of us struggle to find. They wear a t-shirt and a designer dress with the same ease.

Express Your Personal Style
European style isn’t all neutral and subtle. It can also be bold and fashion-forward. Whatever the style, European women aren’t afraid to wear what they want and express who they are through style.

Hats Make The Outfit
I get asked all the time about completer pieces in hot weather, and besides shoes and bags, nothing works better with a summer outfit than a hat. It’s chic, practical, and just the finishing touch for many warm weather outfits.

Live In Linen
Linen seemed to be the fabric of choice for many European women this summer, turning up in dresses, pants, tops, rompers and jumpsuits. A little bit of a lived in look is just a part of what gives linen its charm.

Mix Your Neutrals
European women like monochromatic looks as much as anyone, but they also enjoy mixing multiple neutrals together, often in unexpected ways. Black with navy, brown with black, and tonal shades of beige could all be spotted. This is a simple and foolproof way to add interest to your basics.

What did you think of these European style secrets? And which would you consider incorporating into your own style? Let me know in the comments!

Ooh! I love this question Beverly! I was intentionally showing some more casual items like the blue linen jumper that were casual but also still cute. They might not be the height of European fashion as some of the other items were, but I wanted to show a range and an example of something that was still very casual, in which case you are right in thinking it feels so casual, but cuter and more chic than leggings and a t-shirt for example. So there were definitely degrees of elegance and of dressiness in this video. Does that make sense? But even when they are casual, in my opinion, they are still chic, because those casual pieces are cute and put together well. I hope that helps a little. I might need to discuss this in a future video! Thanks for the comment! I am so glad you are enjoying my videos!

Hi Nada, I am addicted to watching your youtube videos. I watched your two European videos and reviewed this posting. I have been watching your videos for about a year or more. I did not “get ” the uniqueness of the European styles. Could I have watched too many Instagram fashion post, and my exceptions are out of line with reality? For example, the blue linen jumper looked OK. What made it special? Why did you like it? Yes, I would buy it and wear it, but I would feel casual, not chic. I felt that way with most of the items. Yes, I would wear them but I would not feel chic or put together. My takeaway was were neutrals and pop them with a bold color. or wear neutral, beige, strappy shoes and pull all the neutrals together. Am I the little girl who says the emperor has no clothes? Or can you see or understand from your experience what I am getting wrong about this process of reinventing my closet?

I loved this information but I can’t wear linen because of the wrinkles. Too many even for me who is NOT a picky person as far as wrinkles go. LOL Thanks for the great info as I learned so much.
