The Power of Pretty Pajamas With Ulivary Life

What you wear at home matters. And the more time you spend at home, the more it matters. I’ve done several videos on what to wear when lounging and sleeping and in your down time.

Ever notice that we save our best for the people we care about the least?

The outside world, when we are running errands or going to dinner, gets to see us at our best.

But we save the literal rags to wear at home around our spouse, our kids, and most importantly, ourselves.

There’s a lot of talk lately about self-care and mental health, and I’m not an expert on that, but I do know that looking lovely and pulled together can make you feel that way, too.

It makes you feel like you’ve got it together, even when you don’t.

And it gives you permission to celebrate your femininity.

I’m especially passionate about glamorous robes. I watched a lot of old movies growing up, and the heroines never emerged from their bedrooms in sweaters. There was always a glamorous silk robe, maybe trimmed in feathers. There was an elegance that is sadly slipping away.

Here, 3 reasons I feel every woman deserves a beautiful robe.

1. It protects your clothes: I throw a robe on when I’m at home to protect my clothes, and also for a little warmth from the AC.
2. It’s a travel essential: A robe makes you feel at home and protects you against hotel AC.
3. It keeps you modest. If you have kids or guests, a robe allows you to grab that first cup of coffee in the morning without getting dressed.
