Ah, the magic and the pageantry of fashion. As much as I go on and on about essentials and they are absolutely and unequivocally, well, essential to our real-life wardrobes, I didn’t get into fashion for tee-shirts and black pants. Sorry not sorry. I got into it for the drama. The glamour. The haute couture.
Fashion at its finest is fantasy and transformative and has the power to change our lives. I’m not exaggerating. Think of Princess Diana’s Revenge Dress and Elizabeth Hurley’s safety pin Versace gown and the makeover scene in any 90s teen romcom. Oh, and Cinderella. Of course.
My life is fancy by some standards. I am lucky enough to have plenty of opportunities to dress up on a regular basis, from galas and charity events to speaking engagements, styling events, and other work-related outings. Plus, there’s church and date nights and girls’ nights…
But my life isn’t fancy enough for this wardrobe. At least not all of it, all at once. And neither is my budget. But that doesn’t mean I can’t dream. Here, a full fantasy fall wardrobe, with budget-friendly alternatives to consider.
And of course you shop everything right in this catalog.

Nada Manley says
It’s always an option to sit this season out if you don’t love the current styles!
Lilly says
Goodness! Nothing I like here so I will neither splurge nor take advantage of the steals. May just treat myself to something else instead, like tickets to a nice show.
