If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that it’s no secret I like color. I especially like bright colors, and I like combining them in outfits. Still, no matter how many different combinations I have come up with, I always love discovering more. There are endless ways to mix and match your wardrobe if you remember this fundamental rule.

I know. You might need to let that profound truth sink in for a minute, but it’s true. Many of us were raised with the idea that you wore color with neutrals, but that is so limiting. Color + color is fun, unexpected, and allows you to express your creativity and personal style.
But there are colors that can be trickier to pair, for many of us. Today, I’ve taken 4 of these colors, red, pink, green, and yellow, and shown you multiple possible color combinations for maximum cuteness and creativity.
Pink
Pink is as strong and bold as it is feminine, and if you love it as much as I do, you’ll be happy to know that it blends well with so many shades, from neutrals of every temp (cool and warm) to other fun shades. Here, some of the best combinations with pink.

Green
Green is a versatile color that ranges from an almost neutral olive to yellow-hued lime, pistachio to forest. When pairing green with green, keep the temps (warm or cool) the same for a harmonious combination.

Red
My signature color, red always makes a statement but still plays surprisingly well with others. Red with green or red, white, and blue can have holiday connotations unless they are paired strategically and the shades chosen are more sophisticated and less primary. And even the classic 80s combo of red and black looks fresh again with different shades of red.

Yellow
Many women find yellow a challenge to wear, but when paired properly it can be a great addition to a wardrobe as either a main or an accent color. These combinations prove that even yellow plus black can be paired successfully if the pieces are well chosen.

Which of these color combos is your favorite? And did I skip your favorite color? I might be able to feature it in another video. Let me know in the comments!
