My mom is going to love this topic.
Growing up, once I reached makeup age, my mom always reminded us to wear blush and earrings. Those were her parting words as we were headed out the door. She felt like an outfit was incomplete without both of these finishing touches.
40 years later, I totally get it. My mom isn’t much of a makeup person, but she wears blush and earrings every day. And so do I.
With my skin tone, blush adds color and life and the glow that is no longer there on its own. And, since my ears were pierced in the hospital after I was born (a common practice in Egypt at the time), earrings were a given.
You wore earrings, or you were naked.
I still feel undressed without them.
Whether you grew up being reminded to accessorize or not, it’s never too late to start using jewelry and beauty as an expression of your personal style. Jewelry trends change, like everything else, but within the contemporary styles you will find pieces that make your heart skin and others that do nothing for you.
Personal style is knowing the difference and being able to choose the pieces that speak to you.
Here, my take on the top jewelry and beauty trends of spring 2022. As always, you can shop all of these items in this catalog.

And now on to the top jewelry trends of 2022!
Vintage Vibes
One of the key trends of spring 2022 is vintage-inspired jewelry. These pieces are designed to look thrifted or antique, like you stumbled across them at an estate sale or while sifting through your grandmother’s jewelry box. Look for vintage inspired cuts, a profusion of pearls, and dainty florals.

Bold Baubles
Chunky statement rings in resin, Lucite, or even plastic are a key trend this season, particularly in bold colors.

Colorful Gems
Colored gemstones in ruby, sapphire, emerald and beyond are a key jewelry trend of the season, adorning modern pieces like fringey earrings and colorful eternity bands.

Fun & Funky
Quirky and colorful, this trend features offbeat details, from beads resembling vintage baby bracelets to plastic, rubber, and other kitschy styles. Adding a novelty or conversation piece to an outfit can add charm and personality, but for balance, keep it to one per look.

Spring 2022 Beauty Trends
I’m not going to waste your time on some of the more outlandish trends of the season (neon eyeshadow, anyone?) when there are so many pretty beauty trends to discuss instead. Peachy shades on eyes continue to be a strong focus, and are definitely more wearable than the bright corals and citrusy orange shades that were also trending. Rosy cheeks are never out of style but this season, brighter and bolder shades were used to really add boldness to the look. (My mom will be thrilled). And for lips, the crimson lip, in both matte and glossy finishes, reigned supreme. There is a red shade for every woman, so check out my catalog for the perfect red for your coloring.
The center part continues to dominate trends, but my advice is to pick a part that works for your hair texture and cut, as well as your face shape. Flattery is more important than fashion.

I agree about the masks and lipstick! I hated that! And thank you for the comment! I am glad you appreciate my silliness. We can’t take all of this that seriously. 🙂

Wow! My mom also never left the house without earrings! Instead of blush though, a lipstick was another must. Like you, I feel naked without these items. Hobestly, that was one of the annoying things about wearing masks – it hid the lipstick!
I love the colorful gems, but not the bold pieces like the big rings. I prefer more subdued and discreet jewelry.
Thanks for these!
Your sense of humor is priceless and much appreciated.
