Why should you take flat-shoe advice from a heel lover? Good question, actually. I don’t have a great answer, except for this. I love shoes. I know shoes. I just get shoes, you know. The way that some people get football or numbers. Neither of which I get, but I digress. So long story short, shoes are kind of my thing.
And there’s only one kind of shoe I refuse to choose, and that is an ugly shoe.
If we’re going to take this relationship further, let me get philosophical on you for a minute. I want you to ponder this deep shoe truth:
Flats should be comfortable. If they’re not, you might as well wear heels. Amiright?

Comfort is the WHOLE POINT of flats. The whole point.
But why be lured by such seductive enticements as “arch support” or “cushioned insoles” if the shoes aren’t cute.
Just leave them there at the store. You don’t need that kind of wardrobe downer in your life!
Finding the perfect pair of shoes is a lot like finding the right man. First, you have to feel an attraction. After that, you can see if they’re a good fit.

So here, from the woman who mostly wears heels but also likes a good stylish flat here and there, is a list of chic and stylish shoes that are also supremely comfortable.

Schutz Arissa flat in crinkle finish in gold or silver. $68. Square toe with roomy toe box. $68. One reviewer said: “The most comfortable shoes ever made. I wore these the first day and went for a walk (4 miles). No blisters whatsoever. Felt as if I was wearing slippers..”

Hi Ann! Sorry you feel that way. I love mine and so do many of the other women who have tried them. They are made out of recycled plastics. Mine have held up for years. 🙂
