Like its frequent sidekick, the graphic tee, black jeans have a kind of cool, rocker girl vibe that has always intimidated me a little. After all, I consider myself good at many things (mom-ming, spelling, accessorizing) but being cool is not one of them. Even back in the day, when cool girls wore cool outfits like plaid shirts and Guess jeans, I chose something either stuffy or spandex-y, the two extremes that pretty much characterized the 80s.
