Is it just me, or are we at that point in the summer where we’ve worn all the cute new outfits on repeat and they’re getting a little tired. So what’s a girl to do? Buy all new outfits! (Just kidding, although the sales do beckon this time of year.)
The next best thing to replacing your entire wardrobe, mid-season, is to mix it up a little with some outfit inspiration from Pinterest. And that’s exactly what I’ve done here. I’ve found 4 fresh outfit formulas using items you may already have, and possibly a new find or two, and then searched Pinterest for the best examples. The result? New ways to wear your old clothes, from your denim cutoffs to that printed kimono.
The shopping spree is optional.
Outfit Formula 1: Dress with Sneakers
This has been around for a while and is still going strong. It’s easy, chic and so comfortable. For the best results, try a casual dress with either solid white or solid black sneakers.

Outfit Formula 2: Denim Shorts with Kimono
Denim cutoffs and a tee can start to feel boring, real fast. Add a pretty printed kimono for interest and a little modesty when bare legs seem too, well, bare. This is a great opportunity to mix prints; just keep the scale of the prints different.

Outfit Formula 3: Colored Shorts and Neutral Top
When the colorful top and neutral short combo is starting to feel stale, switch it up by wearing a chic, neutral top with colored shorts. Create a chic, dressy shorts look by making the top silky and adding fun accessories.

Outfit Formula 4: Denim skirt with Statement Top
Next time you wear your denim skirt, swap out that simple tee for a statement making top and then tie the look together with cute accessories for a fun, feminine look.
