I live live live in dresses. Sure, I wear shorts and jeans and other, more casual options, but when it comes to easy spring and summertime style, nothing compares to a dress. They’re easy, versatile and comfortable, and they’re my go-to on hot days. It’s not that I’m lazy, but, okay, well it is because I am lazy, but who can blame me? I am crazy busy like every single other mom I know, and let’s face it, sometimes one piece of clothing is all I can manage to get on in the morning. And fortunately, a dress means that one piece is enough. But sometimes, I get bored. Everyday dresses, by definition, need to be versatile and somewhat casual, which can also make them a little predictable. So how do you take a dress from dull to delightful? As always, the answer is accessories, and a statement piece that elevates the entire look. Here’s a simple formula for a daytime dress look:

Dress + Flats + Statement Accessory = Adorable

Easy peasy. Whether it’s the bag, the necklace, or even a fabulous pair of sunnies, the statement accessory (or two) can really bring a simple dress to life. Here’s proof, in 5 different affordable spring outfits to suit 5 different BeautyMommy styles. (Don’t know yours yet? Click to take the 2 minute QUIZ). Best of all: Everything is under $50. (Yes, even the shoes and the bags.)

1. Relaxed BeautyMommy Style
