Happy shopping!
Fabric Wall Decals
My sister used to color on the walls as a baby. This is much neater. These beautiful fabric wall decals are a fun, creative way for your daughter to express her sense of style – and decorate her own room! To order a set, click here or on the picture.
Wooden Dollhouse
I am a big fan of Le Toy Van, which makes sweet whimsical wooden dollhouses and play sets, but this Royal Palace from Pottery Barn also caught my eye. Gorgeous, and I love the attention to detail.
Playsilks
Yes I know that this seems like a lot of money to spend on silk scarves, but these have been the most played with toys in our house for more than 5 years. They serve as baby doll blankets and capes and tablecloths for tea parties and elaborate dress up outfits. Even boys love them. Buy a nice quality set, like this one, and your girls will play with them for years.
Tea Sets
When Lola turned 1, my sister gave her a stunning porcelain tea set in its own beautiful hatbox. At that age, it served as room decor, but now, years later, that tea set has witnessed countless tea parties – with mommy, with her little sister Eva, and with her little friends. And unlike many “heirloom” toys, a special tea set is truly something she will want to pass down to her own little girl some day.
Mooshka Dolls
There is a part of me, and not a small one. that is absolutely brokenhearted that my girls are past the ages (nearly 7 and 8) for playing with Mooshka dolls. So to compensate, I plan to buy one for every little girl I know. They are the exact opposite of Monster High and Bratz and all of the other dark, creepy dolls that I despise. Mooshka dolls are pure innocence and sweetness. The designs are so pretty they rival any designer doll from a high-end catalog, but the prices are very down to earth (most are under $20). There is one to delight every little girl, from ballerinas to fairies, and their tiny pets are, if possible, even cuter. Sigh. Check out a range of them right here.
