Hard as I try, I can’t seem to get the lunchbox thing together. While my sister diligently packs her girls very day in adorable bento boxes, I have a hodgepodge of styles cluttering up a cabinet, each with unique advantages/disadvantages… including a personalized retro Freckle Box tin lunchbox with Lola’s name, a silicone collapsible eco pack lunch box that I just got at Marshall’s, bento boxes with their coordinating bags, a Pottery Barn classic style lunch box, a bobble box with matching water bottle, and an assortment of small food containers to go int the boxes. I wish I could find one lunch box system that meets all my needs, because now I need to find a lunchbox for Eva. Eva is a bit easier to pack a lunch for than Lola – for one thing, she likes sandwiches, especially peanut butter. Lola will only eat cheese sandwiches, just like her mother. So I generally end up packing something hot for her lunch: macaroni and cheese or soup or a quesadilla. I would love to find some flat food containers that keep food warm, not just cold, for mini pizzas, quesadillas, etc. But first, a lunchbox for Eva. Here are some of the cutest ones I have found:
1. Big Apple Buddies Value Pack, $24.99: Absolutely adorable, and it comes with its own little reusable sandwich pack. It’s also insulated and wipes clean easily.
2. Yubo Personalized Lunchboxes, $39.95: Gulp. I think I am in love. These very cool lunchboxes are infinitely customizable – you can choose from several designs and even switch them out, and they can be personalized or not. There are so many options! Plus it comes with a removable divider and an optional drink bottle. Love!
3. Placemat Lunch Bag, $15: This adorable lunch bag opens flat into a placemat – great for keeping germs at bay! And it is soooo cute!
4. Shinzi Katoh Bento Boxes, Drink Bottles, and Bags, $7.50 and up: It is almost physically impossible for me to resist buying every single item on this site, especially these water bottles – the cutest I’ve ever seen. Sure, they are $30 each, but just look at them.
