Yesterday I blogged about bathing suits. Today, I wore one: my trusty Juicy gingham maillot, hidden beneath an H&M t-shirt dress. Still sleepy and silently cursing the sun, I sat and caught up with a good friend, similarly dressed in a striped cotton dress, while our kids played. I was so not swimsuit-ready. What I need is an update on my Juicy suit – something similarly flattering, forgiving, and easy to wear (even on lazy days). I think this new suit from giejo just might be it. I am a huge fan of the line’s mix and match pieces, but this one-piece is perfect for days when I need to slip something on and go! Find it and other chic styles at shopgiejo.com. Fortunately, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim 2013 offered lots of inspiration, many created by the hair gurus at Cutler South Beach. My favorite look? The easy, breezy ponytail. I also liked the wet look, but that would involve actually getting into the water…
Another poolside must? Great skin, Local favorite Hawaiian Tropic, the sun care sponsor for swim week, collaborated with swimsuit designer Mara Hoffman on the looks, and the great skin, for her show.
