Ha! Made you look! (Sorry – I spend a lot of time around young children). As I’m sure you have guessed, I was never a model, super or otherwise, although at one point in my life (circa 1989) I thought that big hair and a petite body made me the ideal candidate for runway superstardom.
This was me, then… Everyone wore heavy foundation a couple of shades too light. It was considered super stylish. Trust me.
But this blog isn’t about me. (Weird, huh?) It’s about supermodels you may have actually heard of. Like Heidi Klum. And some girl named Gisele. And Kate somebody-or-other. PeekYou, a people search engine, rated the highest paid supermodels according to their web presence, as measured by their PeekScore. According to the company, the PeekScore takes into account “your known presence and activity on the Internet, including but not limited to; your blogging, participation in social networks, the number of your friends, followers, or readers, the amount of web content you create, and your prominence in the news.” And the winner is…
With a PeekScore of 10 out of a possible 10, Klum ranks as the supermodel with the highest internet presence, followed closely by Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss. (And you thought it would be me!)

In more supermodel news, Victoria’s Secret fave Alessandra Ambrosio only gets prettier as she gets pregnant-er (I swear, that’s a word!). Apparently, she keeps her famous legs smooth with the help of her Philips Satin Perfect Epilator: “Since it’s small and easy to use, I can take it in my carry on anywhere around the world, so I’m always smooth and ready for photo shoots or just to have fun.” Wow, Alessandra. Me too! (We supermodels have so much in common…) Her other beauty secrets:
“Water: I have to stay hydrated and love a cold bottle of water when the weather gets warm. Plus, it keeps my skin healthy and glowing.
Bikinis: You can never be too prepared for a spontaneous trip to the beach or some fun in the sun.
Short Dresses: I love my legs and short dresses give me a chance to show a little bit of leg. Nothing’s better than a gread dress and a pair of amazing heels!”
While some of Ambrosio’s tips may be supermodel-specific (bikinis are not my friend, for example) we can all benefit from smooth legs, so I am checking out the Philips Satin Perfect Epilator. If it helps me look more Alessandra-like, I am all for it. Wonder how it does on cellulite?
