Lately, I’ve been doing even more cooking than usual, which means that many of my dishes have been finding their way into Lola’s lunch box, like the Italian Rice and Carrot Green soup I made yesterday, or last week’s whole-wheat-panko-crusted chicken strips. And I thought, between the cute Japanese bento boxes and the assorted lunch boxes that I bought Lola, that I had this lunch thing under control. And then I came across a post made by my friend Stephanie on FB. The picture of the gorgeous, healthy lunch she packed for her daughters, artfully packed in a Planetbox, made Lola’s lunches look like she had assembled them herself. : )) So of course I had to check out the Planetbox, pronto. And while, admittedly, they’re pricey (Stephanie spent $140 on two lunchboxes), they are pure genious! The compartments are actually magnets, so they “lock” in place easily, and it’s metal, making it safer and more durable than plastic. For me, of course, it’s all about cuteness, so I was thrilled to see the Fairy and Rainbow designs. Very cute!
Stephanie and I share an obsession with Weelicious, the amazing blog full of yummy, healthy recipes for kids and families, so many of our favorite recipes come from there. (See the link under Beauty Mommy Loves!)
Stephanie allowed me to post these pictures to help every mom struggling to make lunch more interesting for her child. I hope they inspire you as much as they did me!
This lunch features Summer Rolls and Chewy Granola Balls from Weelicious!
I bought this Goldfish-shaped sandwich bread too, and I love it!
