I had the pleasure of spending some time in the closet of my amazing friend, Laura, a very busy wife, tireless volunteer, and mom-about-town. Laura has a strong sense of who she is, which translates to a wardrobe filled with crisp, classic, preppy pieces that work for her and her lifestyle. So, I decided to do a blog in her honor, on her birthday, with a fantasy list of birthday gifts. She may not get them all, but she should!
Lilly Pulitzer Lexie Printed Tee, $58: Laura can pull off bold colors beautifully, and she’s a Lilly fan. This stylish floral tee is a great staple, with a better-than-basic print and a flattering shape.
Lilly Pulitzer Paley Cardigan, $88: The island weight cardigan makes it perfect for Florida, and the clean-cut appeal makes it perfect for Laura.
Talbots Grace Fit Shoreline Stripe Jacket, $149: Crisp, stylish, and perfect for when Laura needs to kick it up a notch.
J. Crew Exchange Dress, $178: Laura loves sheaths, and this one is perfect for her. The v-neck will elongate her petite frame, and it comes in petite sizes too, which is perfect. It’s timeless and versatile!
Theory Max Pant, $235: Yes, they are a splurge, but Theory’s most popular pants are bestsellers for a reason – they are perennially stylish and universally flattering. In “barley”, or as I like to call it, khaki, it will be a wardrobe staple.
