Okay, it’s been a few weeks since Christmas and I am still trying to decide whether to keep the Waring Juicer my husband bought me. It’s huge, it’s messy, and it has a total of six parts to clean. Six! I might as well be cleaning up after a dinner party every time I use it. So my goal now is to try juicing just a couple of times a week instead of every day as I had planned to – sometimes you just have to get real with yourself. And then I saw the commercial for the Montel Williams Healthmaster, a less pricey, lower quality version of the Vitamix. The key difference between juicers and emulsifiers, as the Vitamix and it’s kind are called, is that juicers leave behind a lot of fiber in their pulp, but emulsifiers obliterate everything into a juice. But is that juice drinkable? I am one the fence, and before I plop down $500 for a very fancy blender/juicer, I need to know if anyone has tried it and liked it. Do you have a Vitamix or something comparable? What’s your favorite thing to make in it? Do you consider it indispensable when compared to just a regular blender or a juicer? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
