Once again, I tried to focus on slightly quirky, under-the-radar toys, so you won’t find any American Girls or Barbie dolls on this list, not that I think there is anything wrong with either! It’s just that those are toys you are already aware of, and I am trying to offer options you may not have heard of – gifts that might be a little more unique! I did throw in a couple of slightly more obvious options on this list than on the others, just because I couldn’t resist, but I wanted it to offer something for everyone!
Yogateers, $39.95: This non-competitive game teaches the basics of yoga to kids of all ages. A great way to build strength, flexibility and self-esteem. A great gift for the daughter of an avid yoga practitioner.
Art Lab Fashion Studio, $19.99: As a fledgling fashionista, I used to love this toy called Fashion Plates, which let you assemble outfits and color them by scratching over the raised shapes. I played with it constantly. This would appeal to modern future fashionistas, and it includes a light table, acetate paper and pencils. A car studio is also available for future engineers.
Mackenzie Rolling Luggage, $99-119: These adorable suitcases come in a variety of prints, and make a perfect accessory for all her future excursions!
Butterfly Pavilion, $29.95: This unusual gift gives your child the chance to raise and release genuine butterflies, watching the metamorphosis from cocoon to adult butterflies.
Perfumery Kit, $19.95: Budding perfumers can mix their own aromatherapeutic formulas to aid sleep or boost energy!
Illustory, $19.99: Your child’s can write and illustrate her very own book with this complete set, and get it professionally printed! You can even order extra copies as gifts. So cute!
Fairy Triad Dome Terrarium, $24.99: This imaginative kit includes everything your daughter needs to grow her own fairy garden, including special fairy-friendly plants, fairy dust and gravel, and, of course, a fairy!
Karito Kids Dolls, $99 each: I love anything with an international angle, and these beautifully made dolls teach girls about other cultures in a fun, engaging way! Plus, 3% of the proceeds go to the cause of your daughter’s choice. Choose from dolls “from” Italy (pictured), Australia, China, Kenya, Mexico or the USA!
Pink Polka Dot Camera, $89: This beautiful, durable camera is designed for the youngest photographers, with an anti-shake feature and easy to use buttons. Or let her shoot her own home movies with this Disney Princess Flix Jr. camcorder, $74.99.
LaLaLoopsy Doll, $24.99: I bought my daughters a pair of these for Christmas because I thought they were too cute to pass up! With charming, colorful outfits and adorable faces, these little fashionistas are sure to wow your little girl! Each doll even comes with its own pet!
Nintendo DS Lite Game System in Metallic Rose, $129.99: This pretty pink game system is lightweight and superportable, allowing her to take her favorite games with her wherever she goes!
Easy Bake Oven Set, $24.99: It’s Easy Bake Oven time! I am counting down the days until my girls are ready for their first Easy Bake Oven! It’s such an iconic childhood toy. This one is redone in retro mint green.
