Got ya! No, we are not having another baby, and I really am, officially, done. Two little girls are all the challenge I can handle. But I can daydream, can’t I? And while I know I don’t necessarily want another baby at this stage in my life, I would love to shop for one. I was in one of my favorite stores yesterday, Galt Toys in Chicago, and was so inspired looking at all the new and interesting baby gear that I had to make an imaginary wish list. If I had a baby, now, these items would be on my registry:
1. Nook Pebble Crib Mattress, $550: I always thought mattresses were pretty dull, until I saw this one. It’s innovative, eco-friendly, and so gorgeous that it seems a shame to cover it up with a crib sheet. link
2. BeBe Cuddle Baby Doll, $40: This doll is soooo cute, I am looking for an excuse to buy one. And I love the fact that it is handmade. link
3. MamaRoo Bouncer & Swing in Silver, $199: This space-age baby seat is a bouncer and swing in one, with lots of entertaining features for baby, and great design for mommy. Plus, it does the job of two baby essentials, which saves space and money! link
4. Bloombaby Coco Stylewood Lounger in Cappuccino, $200: A simple, stylish place to park baby, this stylish lounger fits in with any decor. link
5. The Wean Machine, $26.99: This ingenious, low-tech device takes any softish piece of food and pulverizes it for baby, and it’s small enough to fit in your gadget drawer! link
6. Boon Feeding Accessories: These are my go-to shower gift because they are stylish and innovative. The easy to hold baby cup with its unique, circular design, the baby-food dispensing spoon, the suction bowl with a catch-all lip, the playful snack ball and the bendable utensils are must-haves. link
7. Haba Slumberland Cradle, $540: I love Haba, and this adorable cradle is one of many many reasons why. What a soothing place to put a baby to sleep! link
8. Handysitt Portable Seat from Minui, $129.99: This stylish high chair is portable and easily converts any chair into a comfortable dining perch for baby. link
9. Glass Baby Bottle Starter Kit in Raspberry/Pink, $59.99: Love these stylish, safe glass bottles with colorful silicone covers. link
10. Pink Glitter Tub from Tummy Tub, $44.99: It’s pink, sparkly and it might have made my bath-resistant Eva a little more comfortable. Plus it takes up much less room than a regular baby bath! link
